Certainly, most of people understand or call Drupal a CMS, but it’s more like a framework that can be extended and expanded to handle more than just content. Drupal gives all kind of customization flexibility, and it is now more of what you want to build with this framework. But with new standards and new user expectations, the trends like responsive web design and personalized web experience have made things even more interesting.

As a part of our Drupal Community contribution, we have been quite active for last few weeks. Today, we are pleased to introduce one more interesting Drupal module i.e. ‘Custom Sitemap’.

This module facilitates the user to add custom sitemaps to a site, unlike currently available module that binds user to have a site map built using the primary menu. The custom sitemap module works exceptionally well for dealing with the growing volume of web pages, specifically for small sites.

We have introduced a new module developed by our Drupal team which makes it easy to convert HTML files to PDF documents. This module was basically developed for one of our clients from travel vertical. The objective of this module was to meet our client’s requirement of generating travel packages quickly with interactiveness. Earlier the client was using mailing system for sending travel packages to its customers; and this process was time consuming, and lacks its visual appeal.

By the time I landed in London, I had been on the road almost for 7 weeks already and had crisscrossed through the length and breadth of USA for conferences, client meetings and non-profit work. From the warm beaches of Florida, I landed into an almost freezing UK; even the plane had to be de-iced before we could get out. Going to Technology World UK conference was an interesting experience. My first reaction was the Excel Center, the conference Venue, its simply outstanding. The fact that its a dockland made the sight stunning.
